Sri Lanka have many technically high and beautiful stadiums. While Cricket is an outdoor sport, Sri Lanka is the best place for Cricket. Here are the Stadiums.

P. Sravanamuttu Stadium, Colombo

P. Saravanamuttu Stadium

Its Ovel shape stadium, located in Colombo 12. Around 15,000 seat capacity and in 17th February 1982, its frist match has palyed. Records of Saravanamuttu Stadium are 45 records in  test mathces, 12 records in One-day International matches and 1 record in International Twenty 20 match.

Asgiri Stadium

Asgiri Stadium

Asgiri International stadium is the only one test cricket stadium in the World. Its maintain and own by Trinity Collage, Kandy. Asgiri is one of most beautiful cricket stadium in the World, located in hill mountain. In 1911 Trinity begun to build Asgiri. Its first test match played on 1983, between Australia and Sri Lanka. In 1986 fist ODI took place, between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Sinhalese Sport  Club Ground (SSC)

SSC is the common name people used to introduce Sinhalese Sport Clumb Ground.  This is very famouse ground in Sri Lanka. Inter-school matches use to play cricket in this gound. At the moment many facilities has imporve in this gound. This ground located in Colombo and its seat capacity is around 10,000 seats. First match played on this gound In 16th March 1984.

Colombo Cricket Club Ground

CCC

Colombo cricket club gournd is samller gound in Sri Lanka. Its usually use to play between inter-school and inter-club. Only 3 International mathes hosted by CCC in 1984 to 1987. At once 14,000 people can sit in this gound. Its first match played on 24th March 1984, between New Zealand and Sri Lanka and New Zealand won the match.

 






R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium

R. Premadasa Stadium

This Stadium located in Colombo. Until 1994 its known as Kettarama Stadium. After Ranasighe Premadasa its name as R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Establish in 1986 and around 35,000 seats avilable here. Its first test mached played on August 28 to September 2 in  1992. That was between  Sri Lanka Vs Australia. First ODI match played on 09 May 1986 between Pakistan and  and Sri Lanka. On 10 February 2009 there played T20I match with India and Sri Lanka.

 


Tyronne Fernando Stadium

Tyrone Fernando Satadium

Tyronne Fernando Stadium located in Moratuwa. Its about 10km away from Colombo city. This gound opened in 1979 and fist match was on 08th September 1992 between Sri Lanka Vs Australia. First ODI match between Sri Lanka Vs New Zealand on 31st March 1984. This gound owned be Moratuwa Sports Club and operate by Sri Lanka Cricket. Around 15,000 seats available it this ground.

Galle International Stadium

Galle International Stadium

One of most beautifull ground in the World. Located downsouth of Sri Lanka. On 3rd June 1998, its first test match played between Sri Laka Vs New Zealand. In that match Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by an inning and 16 runs. Up today 17 matches played in this groud. Sri Lankan team is the most success team in this ground. Most fertile batsmen was Mahela Jayawardena most fertile bower was Muttiah Muralidaran. Around 35,000 seats available.

Mahinda Rajapaksha International Cricket Stadium

Mahinda Rajayapaksha International Cricket Stadium located in Sooriyawewa, Hambanthota. Its going to host 2011 ICC world Cup for the first time. Stadium establish in 2009 and have 35,000 seat capcity. Its own and maintain by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Between Hunnasgiriya and Rikillagaskada, Pallekele International Cricket Stadium Situated. This stadium established on 2009 and around 35,000 capacity can hadle.01st to 5th December 2010 it hosted its first test cricket match. Thata was between Sri Laka and West Indies.
