Pallekele Stadium Opened

Pallekele Stadium opened by Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr. D.S.De Silva, Governor of Central Province, Member of parliament Hon Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and Chief Minister of Central Province Sarath Ekanayake. With the blessing of these people it was so soft ceremony. Grass in this stadium has import from Australia and its name was ‘Santana Cooch’. This stadium has ten center pitches. This is about 20 – 25 minutes away from Kandy.


Murali going  to says goodbye to his Tests Cricket Life...

Murali was born in 17th April 1972 in Kandy. Muttaih Muralidaran is worthy play for the Sri Lanka Cricket team. He did 18 years service to motherland. He started his carieer in 1992 aginst Australia in Ranasighe Premadasa Stadium and his final test match will be at Galle Stadium. There is no more spin bowlers,  magician like him, in the world like Murali. Its very rare to find a player like him. Every batsman feel very scare to Murali's balls. He was a member, whose will the World Cup in 1996. Since he join to Sri Lanka Cricket team in 1992, he has took more than 400 One-Day Wickes and more than 750 wichets in Test series. Murali has his own style in bowling. His average in Test Cricket wage 21.33.

Sri Lanka Government giving so many effort to SLC. With that effort, committee has power to go fast to success. The committee thank that they have done well job in last 365 days.

President Mahinda Rajapaksha inspected the Ranathunga Premadasa International Cricket Stadium last Saturday (08th January 2011). Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Ministry of Cricket Secretary Udaya Ranjith Senevirathne, Chairman of SLC D.S. De Silva, Tournament Director of ICC  Suraj Dandeniya and Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga were participated.
