SLC rebuild Keththarama R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium and opened by Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rapajapaksha on last Saturday. For the constructions SLC has expended Rs 1.2 billion. ICC scheduled some matches on this ground for ICC World Cup 2011 and Keththarama R. Premadasa Stadium is ready for cricket battle. Before this ground had 17,000 seat capacity. But after constructions its extended to 30,000 seats.
Sport Minister Mahandananda Aluthgamage, Wimal Weerawansa, Gamini Lokuge A.H.M. Fausi, Chairman of SLC, Secretory of SLC Mr. Nishantha Ranathunga participate to this event.
